Don't Rain On My Parade!

Day 4 April Showers

I was a bit lazy with this mani but I still think it came out good!!

What I'm wearing: I started off with a base coat of Essie Grow Stronger, then I applied two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls from the Spiderman collection.

Look at this! Isn't she a beauty? It's a white polish with grey undertones taking away the whiteout effect that white polishes usually give off. I just love that this white polish is not too in your face and is not streaky at all like the other white polishes I have.

After My Boyfriend Scales Walls dried I used my dotting to create the cloud near my cuticle with  Sally Hansen Wet Cement, then I used my dotting tool again to create the rain with OPI Absolutely Alice.

I really love the way this came out! It really does look like it's raining on my fingers. I used Absolutely Alice because it's one of my favorite blues and who wouldn't want to see glittery rain drops falling down? I'll you all tomorrow for my rainbow nails!!

Jelly and Glitter and Jelly Oh My!!

Day 3 Glitter Sammy

This is my first every Glitter Sammy and I must say I adore it! Justin's best friend's name is Sammy so I feel like the name is kind of silly but I love the way it looks!

What I'm wearing: a base coat of Essie Grow Stronger, then I did one coat of OPI Too Hot Pink to Hold Em, one coat of Milani Pink Flare, one coat of Milani Lavender, one coat of Essie Set in Stones, another coat of the OPI, then I topped that all off with a coat of SV.

After the first coat of the OPI I was in love. This is my first jelly polish and it's was my very first time buying it. I actually bought it for this challenge believe it or not! I love pink polishes and this one is beautiful, the squish factor is definitely present and I almost felt like only wearing this polish on it's own. After I added the glitters and created the sandwich I knew I'd be doing another glitter sandwich very very soon. I couldn't get a great picture of this mani because it was so shiny but you can definitely see the way the glitter looks like it's suspended in the polish giving it that jello effect. Until tomorrow polish lovers!!

This Lady is No Ordinary Bug

Sorry this is so late today, we were using my laptop to watch America's Got Talent! We missed the first four episodes so I caught up on the first two. Now on to the nails!!

Day 2 Lady Bugs

Sorry this picture is so bad, it took me a while to get these ladies on my nails so I ended up only doing my left hand before taking it off. I wanted to make it look like they were kind of crawling around on my nails instead of having them all sitting the same way.

What I'm wearing: I started off with a base coat of Essie Grow Stronger, then for the colors of the ladies I used Revolon Fire (red), SH Hard Lemonade (yellow), and SH Three D (orange). Then for the black and white I used SH White out and Wet N' Wild Black Creme. I used my dotting tool to create the eyes and spots. I like how it turned out even though I didn't leave it on for very long. What do you think? Yay or nay? Till tomorrow then!!

April Shower Bring May Flowers

As I'm sure many of know and have seen, the Spring challenge as been floating around the blogosphere so I just had to do it too!! This challenge was started by Hanna over at Polished Prisms.

Day One: Spring Pastels

For this design I started off with a base coat of Essie Grow Stronger, then I did two coats of Sally Hansen White On, I then put on two pieces of striping tape to create the X then I painted each of the colors on and removed the tape, and of course I then topped it off with SV. For the triangles I used Sally Hansen (SH) Hard Lemonade, SH Mint Sorbet, SH Lacey Lilac, and Essie Sugar Daddy. I love the way this turned out!! I can't wait to do the other ones in this challenge! Until tomorrow then!!

Happy polishing!!

Striping with Miss Amber Ruby

I'm in love with Sally Hansen Nail Prisms!! I only have thirteen of them but the ones I have are gorgeous. This pretty that I have for you today is Amber Ruby.

For this design I stared off with a a base coat of Essie Grow Stronger, then I did two coats of Wet  N' Wild Black Creme, then I used striping tape to create the stripes, then I did one coat of of Amber Ruby, removed the tape, and followed with a coat of Seche Vite. I did this one late at night and then took the pictures the next morning. I must have not used the Seche Vite properly this time because there was a bit of shrinkage at the tips. To avoid this you want to take the brush while using SV and sort of tuck it by pulling the brush to under the tips of your nails. I guess I was just too lazy or I forgot to do that when I used it last night, but now I know what happens if you don't! Sorry the picture's a bit blurry, but the colors of the this beauty are shown beautifully in this picture. You can see the shift of the colors.Till next time!!

Happy polishing!!

Stripes and Polka Dots

I'm home!! Packing and unpacking was an annoying hassle but it had to be done! I'll keep this short and sweet today since you're here for the nails after all.

What I'm wearing: a base coat of Essie Grow Stronger, then for the design I used Sally Hansen White On, Sally Hansen Blue Me Away, Zoya Elodie, and Essie Play Date. I got the design from Sophie over at My Awesome Beauty, you can find her tutorial for it here. She's amazing with striping tape!! I had my younger brother Marlon choose the design for me to do and the colors I should use. I used a ton of SV on this mani to make each layer dry faster but I really liked the way this came out! Well until tomorrow then!

Happy polishing!!

Just Spotted the Lizard

I really meant to post this earlier but I'm packing to go home so I've been very busy!! Justin and I live seven hours away from my school so I'm in for a long ride tomorrow. I am happy to go home though!! I had a long stressful semester and it'll be good to be home with my family. This is the second polish I'm showing you from the Amazing Spiderman collection from OPI, and in my opinion the prettiest one!! Mind you I've only tried two, so I may not have the ultimate say on this

This gorgeous polish needed more than one picture because she has so many sides to her!! Just Spotted the Lizard is a green-gold duochrome with a metallic finish. It can be kind of streaky prone but if you're careful you can eliminate this problem.

What I'm wearing: a base coat of Essie Grow Stronger, then three coats of Just Spotted the Lizard, then no top coat!! This polish dries so fast that no top coat is necessary.I could've gotten away with doing two coats because it was opaque but because of the streakiness I had to add the extra coat. I love this color don't you?? Justin's also a huge fan of it, I think it's his favorite color and he always gets excited when I put it on. I think he loves the duochrome effect, his favorite color is also gold so that may have something to do with it. Well that's all I have for you today!! Those of you are reading my blog please follow and comment!! Anything you say will be greatly appreciated!! See you all tomorrow!!

Happy Polishing!
